Focusing on art which evaluates and brings to the foreground human awareness, experiences and the connection with nature, Kalpa Art Living together with Anima Silvae Cultural Association present a sophisticated dialogue between two ceramic artists: Japanese Yoshimi Futamura, living in Paris and French-Italian Sabine Pagliarulo, living in Rome.
Both artists bring their ceramic work to an outstanding level of research and expression demonstrating that stoneware, terracotta and porcelain can create evocative and visionary contemporary sculpture. Futamura and Pagliarulo contemplate and reinterpret the forms of nature in highly profound and intuitive ways, creating an instant emotional bond with the living world, evoking an instinctive memory of our source and belonging. Their work is exquisitely elegant, and yet remains consciously raw, yielding space to the beauty of organic imperfection.
