Duccio Nacci, an Italian photographer, living and working in San Gimignano. He is renowned for capturing within his poetic images the beauty of Tuscany – silent landscapes where the human person, even though invisible, is always present and leads us towards a melancholic kind of joy.
Since 1997 he has illustrated catalogues and books in collaboration with several national and international magazines (Condé Nast, Rusconi, Mondatori and others).
Nacci has published several books and held exhibitions throughout Italy. His own photography gallery “La Bottega del Sale” is located in the center of San Gimignano.
His first book “Viaggio nella Campagna Toscana” (Journey in Tuscan Countryside) was published in 1998 after long and careful work so as to lead the reader on a poetic and aesthetic journey through the beauty of Tuscany.
The second book of colour shots was published in 2008, entitled “Toscana dell’Anima” (Tuscany of the Soul), a volume of photographs selected together with poems of Tuscan authors, from passionate verses from Cecco Angiolieri and Dante Alighieri to calmer and more ironic poets such as Folgore da San Gimignano and Aldo Palazzeschi.
