6 post(s) in Volterra
Welcome to Via Porta all’Arco, surely one of the most beautiful streets in Tuscany, leading from the main square of Volterra to the 3000 year old Etruscan Gate “Porta all’Arco”, this ancient monument of enormous importance.
While in Tuscany this Summer visit our new gallery Kalpa Art Living in the Palazzo Bonomini in the historical centre of the Etruscan town of Volterra, one of the most picturesque locations in Italy. This new location has been opened in June and it will remain open to visitors every day 10 am – 7 pm until the end of October 2019. The unexpected raw sophistication is what characterises the aesthetic outcome of our work on the interiors. The partial restoration, saving all the historical layers with their imperfect traces of time made the space into a work of art itself…
Pignano Art Gallery together with Kalpa Art Living and Academia Libera Natura & Cultura would like to invite you to summer evenings in Borgo Pignano of live music & art. On the four following dates join us for a lovely encounter with the visual arts, live music and performance, guided tours and an aperitif in the art gallery and the emotions of a live concert afterwards.
The collective exhibition of international artists explores the mystery of existence through intuitive, semiotic and formal studies of life forms and phenomena, tracing the biological, emotional and spiritual connections between plant, animal and human. Twelve invited artists will dialogue with soulfulness and mastery in various fluid configurations, introducing new artworks and themes throughout all summer. This dynamic exhibition is hosted in two venues all summer 2019, the art galleries: Kalpa Art Living in the historical center of Volterra and Pignano Art Gallery in the elegant estate and resort of Borgo Pignano.
A sophisticated dialogue between two ceramic artists, Yoshimi Futamura, Japanese living in Paris and Sabine Pagliarulo, French-Italian living in Rome. Both artists bring their ceramic work to an outstanding level of research and expression proving that stoneware, terracotta and porcelain can create evocative and visionary contemporary sculpture.
In 2019 Kalpa Art Living will launch its new location in the historical centre of the ancient Etruscan town of Volterra, one of the most picturesque locations in Tuscany. The new venue is located in Palazzo Bonomini on Via Porta all’Arco, a charming street connecting the main square with the famous Porta all’Arco, an Etruscan gate to the city dating back to 4th century B.C. This sophisticated, mysterious building of palazzo Bonomini dates back to medieval and renaissance times and over the ages it has been the home to several religious and charitable institutions. Today it is a project “in progress” giving space to various arts in its time-hallowed rooms.
